Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985 in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial time she tried out the sport, she finished 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003, and after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in running 200m. She won the title in 2007. was able to defend the title against her Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently within the top three athletes at her particular events.
